WTC Athletes & Families,

Last night:

Last night's meet in Weymouth was a lot of fun! Teams included were: Westwood, South Shore Fireboltz (out of Hingham), Norwell, Quincy and (obviously) Weymouth. There were close to 200 athletes and it ran in a blazin' 2 hour time frame. Ribbons & ribbons, galore! Westwood really shined and I received many compliments on the speed (!), sportsmanship and overall talent of our growing program- so congratulations to you!!

For tomorrow:

I have received several emails regarding Friday's meet in Braintree (hosted by Quincy Track Club). All the information is linked to the Registration page but wanted to give it to you again:

Yes, I had to make the call.
Between sitting now in an underground basement seeking shelter from the North Shore tornado warning (yes, seriously!), the 3-inch flooding and weather.com's forecast for Westwood for the evening I have had enough stress.  So, off for tonight.

Looking forward to seeing many of you tomorrow.

7/18/12 2:14pm:    Weather Concerns
I am aware that the weather is a concern for this evening.  I am currently in Beverly and the weather conditions are horrific (read: hail may come through window and no visibility for more than 20 inches! *this just in: TORNADO WARNING HERE).  I will make call on this evening's practice based on as much data as I can gather by 3pm.  Read here for more.  Thanks!

Website + Norwell Meet Opportunity

Westwood Track
9:27 AM (9 minutes ago)
Yesterday we got invited to participate in the Norwell Track Meet for today, Wednesday, June 18th!  This is a free event for any individual interested in opting out of traditional practice to attend. However, given the time frame please note that coaches will be unable to attend due to our regular practice (unless numbers prove otherwise).

It should be a fun event & ribbons galore! Information here or on Practice Schedule on our website (yes, it's up!) www.trackclinic.com.  We will hold regular practice - but if you get a chance to participate, I highly encourage you to.

If you think you're going to attend: please let us know by signing up HERE.  In the event that we have 20+ people I will send a coach to help support and guide.  Please be sure to thank Norwell TC Coach Chuck for his time and commitment to our sport- hosting a meet has many details & challenges!
